There are many similarities and differences of the two careers that I did in the finance cluster. The two careers were Actuarties and Credit Analyst. Three of their similarities are their interests are the same conventional and enterprising, another one is their projected growth is the same 20% to 28%, one last one is their some of their knowledge skills and abilities are similiar including math, economics and accounting, english, critical thinking, active listening and learning and many more. Their differences include what type of schooling you need for a Actuary you need a doctor or proffesional degree for a credit analyst you need a bachelor's degree, their work values are different and their work values only have one in common. These two careers have a lot more alike then different. These two careers are very similiar because they both deal with lots of math and that is something I don't enjoy or am very good at.

Government Careers

This week we did Government and Public Services and my two careers I chose were a Coroner and a Legislator. These two careers were actually very different except for the fact that they were similiar in some of the knowledge, skills, and abilities which were coordination, english, writing, coordination critical thinking and several others. There were many differences in their work values, work styles, interests, job description, tasks and tools and technology. They are very different, both jobs you work with lots of people but as a coroner they almost all are dead as a legislator you work with lots of people. As a coroner you work with lots of autopsy tools as a legislator you work with lots of electronics like computers, phones, etc. Their interests had nothing in common. As you can see they were more different then they were alike.

What & Why?

This week we did education and training as a career cluster, we also did agriculture, food, and natural resources. We also did Education and Training. We also did a career that was opposite of our color. I think we have done these things to learn a variety of careers in a range of different colors that way we really can explore jobs even with things we don't think would apply to us or our colors. It shows us what we may like in a career that isn't our color or something we could not think of doing. I think our point this week was to explore and learn about new things and new careers.

Arts, A/V Technology, & Film

For the career cluster Arts, A/V Technology, and Film. I did the two careers Talent Directors and Fashion Designer. A Talent Director does auditons and interviews of performers to select the most appropriate talent for parts in whatever production is looking for the talent. They do many more things including attend or view productions, help prepare actors for auditions, & Serve as liaisons. They make about $71,000 a year. I also did a Fashin designer their description includes designing clothing and accesories, creating original designs and adapting fashion trends. Some other things they do are adapt to other designers ideas for mass market, purchase new or used clothing and accesory items as needed, select material and production techniques to be used for products and lastly conduct with sales and management executives. They make around $62,00 a year.

True Colors : My results

Yesterday, we had a guest speaker who came and gave us a test which would give us our personality in colors, my results came out and my first and main one was orange, being an orange means that you are outgoing, impulsive, courageous, spontaneous and many more. Being an orange also means that you are a natural trouble shooter, a performer and a competitor. You also like to be hands on. You are very flexible, do well with changes and variety. You need lots of space and freedom. Orange is mostly an all around fun and exciting person. My second personality color was blue, this means you are very enthusiastic, flexible, imaginative, idealistic and many more. You like to be around people helping and inspiring them. As a blue, you like to be happy and loving you also are affectionate, supportive and a good listener. Blue is mostly, an all around nice and caring person. You want to help people. These two aren't closely related but they make up my personality and my personality is fun and wild but also caring and kind. I like to have fun but also have a side where I am calm and kind. These two colors mix together to for the most part make up my personality which is a combination of these.

True Colors

The 4 personality colors are blue, gold, green, and orange. They each represent a different personality, blue being calm, gold being a good person who is responsible and organized, green being smart and fun, and orange being wild and spontaneous. I think my teacher who is a blue, who is calm and kind would be Mrs. Pittenger, I think she is a green because she is always laid back, calm, and she is always kind and caring of her students. I picked Mrs. Wilson for a gold because she is a all around good person, she is always helping of her students to make sure they completely understand, she is also very responsible, and organized. For green, I picked Mr.Happ I picked him because he is a person who uses a lot of logic but also has a side that is fun. Lastly, I picked Mrs.Ogle as my orange because she is wild, spontaneous and fun, she is always giving out candy and letting us do fun things in homeroom, she is very laid back. As my friend for blue, I picked Sidney, I put this because she is very calm and caring for everyone around her, she likes to make everyone happy. For my gold, I think Lydia because she is always precise, she likes to be on time, but she has a fun wild side. For my green, I am putting Everett because he is very smart and uses logic all the time. for my orange, I think Shelby because she is wild and fun. She always makes people laugh and is always spontaneous and crazy!

Lately, we did the career cluster Business,Management & Administration. I did two careers Budget Analysts and License Clerk. The job description for a Budget Analyst include examining budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations. The skills needed for this job are being good at math, english, speaking and good customer service there is many more these are just a few. The education requirements differ you could have several types of degrees including a bachelor's, master's or even just a high school diploma. My next job was a license clerk, their job description include issuing licenses and permits to qualified applicants, conducting oral, written, visual or performance testing and obtaining necessary information. Some of their skills are math, speaking, writing, and english. The education requirements are not much you need at least a high school diploma, some have gone to college but have no degree and others have an associate's degree. As you can tell, these careers actually have quite a bit in common.
